Can’t beat this for overall value

I had the newer model of this case for my previous iPhone 12 and used it for about a year and found it to be an excellent case. When I upgraded to an iPhone 13 Pro Max recently I checked out the same case, but it was nearly $40. So I ended up researching and ordering six different inexpensive cases. My criteria was 1.) Less than $15 2.) Good corner and front edge protection 3.) Card slot for three cards 4.) Kickstand capability for video viewing. Honestly I wasn’t expecting to get all these criteria met for under $15 but since Amazon has such an easy return process I decided to order several and keep only the best one. Well this original Vena case won out easily after I received and tried all the cases I ordered. It offers solid protection, the screen side bezel is high enough to protect the screen with an aftermarket screen protector on it from a direct fall on its face on a hard surface. This is an often overlooked point until you look down on a cracked screen. Been there. The hinged card carrier is well secured and the magnet close seems to hold securely. I can fit three cards in the two slots. The faux leather feels good as does the overall case. The fit is precise and secure, unlike several of the others I ordered, which were somewhat warped and didn’t cover the edges well. The kickstand function using card slot flap works but I can see how others might find this flimsy vs an actual kickstand. But most kickstands are prone to breaking eventually so I’m ok with this feature. I’m not a magsafe user so I can’t speak to that functionality. The one thing I do not like about this case is that it’s still a bit thick and doesn’t fit well into a tripod mount or selfie stick holder. At least the ones I’ve tried. This is due to the card slot/flap adding thickness. To be fair, I have yet to find a card slot case that overcomes this issue. Some won’t work at all in this regard. So overall, for $10 I don’t think this case can be beat if you want all the features it offers. Who cares if it’s an older model? When it breaks or if you fall out of love with it, you’re only out $10. Just get another one. Thumbs up.

The media could not be loaded. Firts, this wallet iPhone case has really been a life changer for me as a woman. I realize after it is just all I need for going out. Keys, iPhone , and wallet case for my DL, my insurance card and my credit card. This is the 3rd one I bought in the last 7 years. the reason I change it was because I change iPhones, but I am disappointed of the quality from my last case. It broke and loses one of his magnets, so I can’t used the iPhone stand and also is not secure for me anymore to carry my ids here. Totally loss his functionality. Hopefully they improve the product quality .

It feels well made compared cellphone cases that I have had in the past. The phone was pretty easy to slide on and the phone hasn’t popped out. Haven’t dropped the phone in any significant way since I’ve had it, so I don’t know how well it a tually protects corners. It does feel rigid but shock-absorbing enough. The wallet thing is kind of silly. I wouldn’t keep anything of value in there...it’s kind of too easy to open and play with. My card hasn’t slid out though (it’s a handy place for grocery club cards like Albertsons, Ralph’s, Vons, etc). I tried watching YouTube on the phone with this as a stand. Everything has to balance perfectly and the fold thing is kind of wonky. However, the wallet thing is kind of fun and add bulk/protection which is why I picked this case. The camera doesn’t have any interference and the cutouts line up perfectly with my pixel 2. The only real slight issue I have with the case is that it makes the fingerprint reader fairly deep which can make it a bit harder to use (or easier not to use?).

This is a cute case. I purchased it in the purple/gold combo. However, it’s incredibly difficult to detach the bottom piece. I’ll update this review regarding potential discoloration in the future.

I must say that 2 days ago I was going to give this case a 5+. I really really like it. It looks great, fits great, is functional, feels secure. But, when I picked up my phone the other day, I noticed a small chip in the gold paint in the lower left corner. It really pissed me off. I’ve only been using this case for like 3 weeks and I love it! And I haven’t dropped it or done anything to my knowledge out of the ordinary use that would have caused the chip. I might try and touch it up with gold paint, I like this phone so much. oh well, bummed.
